Paying bills and money transfer with Quicken for Mac are available only if your bank offers Bill Pay with Quicken. Release Notes 9/27/2016 Version: 3.5.2 Size: 28.9 MB.
FIXED: Fixed an issue that would prevent bill pay from working when updating a selected account. This worked for updating all accounts. FIXED: Fixed an issue that turned intra-bank transfers to manual transactions for a few banks.
FIXED: Fixed an issue where bill pay transactions could no longer be matched to manual or scheduled transactions. FIXED: Fixed a crash that occurred in reconcile when a balance adjustment was 0. FIXED: Fixed an issue where hidden accounts would incorrectly reappear after updating account. CHANGED: Changed the way the starting month is set for budgets. Now the starting month can only be set when a budget is created. Quicken no longer allows changing the starting month after a budget is created.
7/19/2016 Version: 3.4.1 Size: 28.9 MB We continue to refine the 12-Month Budget feature. NEW: Stacked Layout View.
A number of customers mentioned they wanted an option to see more months on the screen at one time. The new stacked layout view achieves this by placing actual values above the budget number allowing column widths to be narrowed. This does mean each category is taller so you may need to scroll up and down more. Set the budget layout by clicking on the Gear icon and changing the preference.
NEW: Export and Copy Budget. There is a new Export button in the budget view. Clicking this button will display a menu to export either the summary or full budget to a CSV file or to simply copy it to the clipboard to paste into Excel or another product.
Use this feature to print the budget or to do further analysis. NEW: Summary Budget Detail Pop-Up. A pop-up appears when clicking on budget items in Budget view but didn't work in the Summary area. In 3.4 we've added the same pop-up to the summary area so you can get details on the category totals. NEW: The summary area now has a light gray background to distinguish it from the rest of the budget. Added a number of small customer-requested features.
NEW: 'Tiny' Register Row option. This allows you to see more lines in your register.
NEW: Changed the way we display share amounts in the Portfolio view. Previously, we displayed all shares with 2 decimal places. Now we're a little smarter about this. Whole numbers appear as whole numbers and if there are decimal values we will max out at 3 decimal places instead of 2. Also fixed a number of bugs. BUG FIX: Fixed a calculation error in% Day Change values in portfolio view. BUG FIX: Fixed an issue in the calendar view running balance where today or overdue bill reminders were not being included in the balance calculation.
BUG FIX: Fixed an issue where the Portfolio Time Machine calendar drop down would appear off screen in full screen view. BUG FIX: Fixed a full-screen budget view issue where the screen would go black after cancelling or saving on the Select Categories screen. CRASH: Fixed a crash that could occur if logging into Intuit ID and going to preferences before sign in completed. CRASH: Fixed a crash that could occur when undoing a check number change.

Reason to not go to Sierra (3.5.2) 9/23/2016 6:30:00 PM 1/5 By Jeff520 My finances for many years are on Quicken Essentials, which does not work on Sierra.
Seeing that Quicken 2016 would import Essentials files I purchased it. This application is VERY poor, and will not do what I expected. Regretfully I am going back to Yosemite just to keep using Quicken Essentials. I feel the problem is caused by some code in Quicken that checks the OS version rather than a Sierra quirk, so my disappointment is with Intuit rather than with Apple. If you want a program that gathers all your financial records from your bank and then keeps them on an Intuit server then by all means buy Quicken 2016. I am working on getting my money back. Poor tech support Quicken 2016 (3.5.2) 9/8/2016 11:55:00 PM 1/5 By DRwmuller I had been a user of Quicken since the late 1990’s.
It worked well in a Windows environment and the tech support was great. Quicken assisted whenever there was a software issue preventing the importing of data from different financial institutions. I recently tried to convert to Quicken 2016 for Mac. I started with a clean database. The first challenge was my financial institution was listed but the data would not synchronize.
After dealing with tech support from the bank, they pointed me to Quicken. Quicken tech support stated they could not assist me and I need to talk with the financial institution. The pointing of fingers started. The financial institution tech support checked with the online banking vendor they use, stating, Quicken may work some times.
The bank suggested to use a cvs file to download from the online banking site and then upload to Quicken. This did not work because, the software only accepts csv’s from mint.com, ugh!
Today, Quicken support states they are unable to assist me in the conversion of a csv file to be uploaded to their software, go to the bank and ask for their tech support. Again, blaming the bank for poor tech support. Each time I requested clarification if Quicken can assist me with a file conversion, the response was “ask for your bank tech support and not the banks customer service representative”. Bad business, bad software.
Very dissatisfied former Quicken user. I can’t believe I spent this much for an app that works this poorly! (3.5.2) 9/4/2016 10:30:00 AM 1/5 By Ladydoc777 Having used Quicken PC version for over a decade to do my finances, I decided to continue to use it on my new Mac and pay the $80 dollars instead of the usual $20 that I paid for the PC version of Quicken from time to time and put it on my new MAC. Boy did I mess up!!!! Everything I converted from my old PC in Quicken converted nicely with the helpful converter to convert the PC Quicken data to Mac version. Excellent job with that.
Installed fine. Data entered fine. But I can’t get this version to download from the banks most of the time. The 99% data I have is the data I have from my old PC! I will get a few entries here and there from this version downloaded, but barely not even half of what should download and the wifi sits within 6 feet and the connection is super. No internet trouble at all! Just the darn thing is not downloading thing right if at all.
I have redone my accounts a dozen times to try to get them to download properly. Been months since I installed this program. I thought about asking if you had a handy little converter to switch the Mac Quicken data back to PC and then I thought. I will just go back to the old PC and pull off the data and redo all the data on my other PC and use it for Quicken.
My advice keep your Quicken on a PC and not on a MAC! BTW this is my first bad review of a product. Any possibility of a refund? Excellent (3.5.1) 8/16/2016 3:40:00 PM 5/5 By james10 I must admit I was very worried to purchase QMac 2016 based all all the negative reviews, but I went ahead and made the plunge (even prior to 3.5.1).
The migration from QMac 2015 to 2016 was flawless and I am extremely happy to report the program is operating flawlessly. I have been a Quicken user for over 20 years (first with Windows, now Mac) and really did not want to shift to any other Mac OS financial software program. I am very pleased with this version — $75 well spent to keep up-to-date. Unreliable and can’t get support (3.4.1) 8/4/2016 3:16:00 AM 1/5 By Skorry I can’t download from my credit union, even via manual download and then import. Every few days one of the credit card accounts fail to download transactions.
Attempts to contact support has been futile, as I wait for more than twice the estimated wait time and still get no response. The interface isn’t very good, only a few of the reports are useful and they aren’t customizable. Quicken has been around for many years, I made the assumption they would have a mature product by now.
I was mistaken. This product is garbage. Waste of Money (3.4.1) 6/28/2016 2:57:00 AM 1/5 By billjohn Purchased Quicken 2016 a few weeks ago and it was a waste of $75. My accounts don’t sync - any of them (so I know it’s not just an individual issue with my bank or credit card companies) - but none of my accounts actually show accurate, current data. Hitting the refresh button is pointless and does nothing. Not sure what the point of using this is if it won’t show current information.
My scheduled bills all landed on the same day, July 18, 2016. No matter what date I would set my bills to reoccur, they would start on July 18, 2016 and repeat monthly, even the bills that don’t reoccur monthly. And I didn’t find this out until I had scheduled all my bills and noticed it wasn’t showing correct data. Waste of an hour of my life. Do not buy this software. It is a waste of money and time. QM 16 FOR MAC (3.4.1) 6/27/2016 12:33:00 PM 1/5 By Johnny Irish Angel i was a user of the Windows version.
I switched to MAC at the insistence of my daughter. This software really annoys me.
It is so incomplete and confusing not like the Windows verison at all. For the price you would think this would be a adequate financial software but it is not. This needs a lot of work. The two teaams Windows and Mac should get together and come up with a decent software. M suggestion is not to buy until they do so. The windows verison was fine and easy to use.
